Chapter 3:



I sat down in between Kevin and Frankie, Nick and Joe sat across from us, and Mr. and Mrs. Jonas were on either end of the table.
I happily answered all the questions Mr. and Mrs. Jonas had for me.

Church? Every Sunday.
High School? I graduated a semester early.
Work? Part time job at a chiropractors office.
Car? A dark blue VW Beetle (convertible of course)
Brother? Senior in college.
Family? Doing great!
Favorite song? This is me. (Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas)

That last question made me blush, they noticed and stopped asking questions.
I felt relieved once the conversation had shifted away from Q & A’s.

When Dinner was finally over my cheeks were sore from all the smiling (and laughing)
I started to stand up but Nick and Joe pulled me back into my chair.
“What?” I asked, feeling very confused at this point.
“Did you honestly think you weren’t going to get a birthday cake?” Nick asked.
“Well… I… uh… yes.”
They laughed.
Denise brought the cake to the table and everyone sang happy birthday.
“Make a wish.” Joe said, nodding to the candles on the cake.
I closed my eyes and blew out all 18 candles.
I was quite satisfied with my wish.
“So what’d you wish for?” Frankie asked excitedly.
“I can’t tell you or it won’t come true.”
I felt my cheeks grow warm.
I didn’t plan on telling anyone what my wish was.
It was pointless, he was already sitting right in front of me.
But still… I didn’t want to jinx it.

We all enjoyed the cake, except Nick, (too much sugar)
I frowned, he shouldn’t be excluded like that.
He insisted it was fine so I let it go.
I rinsed off my plate and sat it in the sink.
“More packing I presume?” I asked, though it sounded more like a statement.
“Nope… Scary movie time.” Joe smirked.
“Just like old times… except I won’t be jumping in anyone’s lap.” I laughed,
remembering how I would always end up sitting on (or hiding behind) one of them by the end of the movie.

Frankie had to go to bed and Kevin was on the phone with his girlfriend.
I sat on the couch in between Joe and Nick holding the bowl of popcorn in my lap.
The movie wasn’t all that scary…
It was to unrealistic to take seriously.
Although it did have a few suspenseful parts, like now for instance.
It was one of those moments you wanted to yell at the tv, telling the girl not to open the door.
My eyes were glued to the screen.
“BOO!” Nick yelled.
“AHHHHH” I yelped jumping into Joe’s lap.
The popcorn went flying.
Nick was laughing hysterically.
“Why’d you do that huh?” I smacked his shoulder.
He just kept laughing. “I had to get you back for earlier.”
I growled. I guess I was in the mood for a playful fight.
Joe was snickering.
“What?” I asked slightly frustrated.
“I thought you said you weren’t going to end up in my lap.” He laughed
I blushed and sat back down on the couch.
Kevin walked into the living room and was quite surprised to find popcorn scattered all over the room.
“What happened?” he asked, clearly amused.
“It’s his/her fault.” Nick and I said pointing at each other.
We all laughed.
Kevin shook his head. “Never mind, I don’t want to know.”

When the movie was over, I was extremely exhausted, can you say ‘Jet lag’
I gave each boy a quick kiss on the cheek, then walked down the hall and closed the door to my room.
I climbed in my bed and drifted to sleep with only one person on my mind.

Nice going flirt with two Jonas's at one time! That's like my dream!
