Chapter 4: Morning came faster than I expected. Dreamless Sleep. That was frustrating. I walked down the hallway towards the kitchen and poured myself a bowl of cereal. Nick came walking down the hall, his hair was a hot mess. I hid behind the counter and when he got closer I jumped out at him. “BOO!” I said laughing. He jumped, and if he wasn’t fully awake before he was now. “You realize this is war right?” I was still laughing. “Yes I know.” Joe and Kevin walked down the hall to the counter, sitting down at the barstools. Their hair was as wild as Nick’s. I resisted the urge to laugh. “So what are you making me for breakfast?” Joe asked with a teasing smile. (He knew I didn’t cook) “I bet you didn’t know I can make a killer breakfast.” I giggled. “Really?” he asked shocked. I laughed and pushed a bowl of cereal in front him. “I know I know… its amazing right?” I smirked. “And the final touch…” I grabbed a piece of toast. “Tada!!!!” We all laughed now. “So are you excited about the tour?” I asked sitting on the couch. “Yeah definitely!” Nick smiled. “Are you excited?” Kevin asked. “Very! I mean… Hello… touring with my favorite band! Aka my best friends.” I purposely didn’t mention every reason I was excited though. I listened as the guys started telling me all about the tour. The songs, the venues, and everything in between. My phone started ringing. I could tell that it took all of half a second for my face to turn bright red. Hello Beautiful, How’s it going? I hear it’s wonderful… in California. I’ve been missing you… It’s true. I was gonna kill Rachel, why’d she have to call this second. I searched frantically through my purse, wishing I could find my phone faster… Where did I put it? But tonight I’m gonna fly, Yeah tonight… I’m gonna fly. Cuz I could comb across the world And see everything And never be satisfied, If I couldn’t see Those eyes. The guys were laughing now. I finally found my phone. “Hello!” I practically yelled as I answered. “Your inside voice Jamie.” Rachel laughed. “What’s got you so worked up?” “Oh nothing really… you just thoroughly embarrassed me, so thanks for that” I huffed. “I didn’t do anything… at least I don’t think I did… what’d I do?” “One word… Ringtone.” “Oh.” She laughed. “Sorry.” “It’s okay, What’s up.” The guys we’re smiling a little too much right now. I stuck my tongue out. “Very mature.” Joe snickered.
Chapter 4: (part 2) Kevin’s phone started ringing. “Girlfriend alert! Joe practically yelled as Rachel mumbled something. I covered the phone. “Joseph Adam Jonas will you please shut up! I’m on the phone.” “Jamie…? Jamie can you hear me? I just asked you a question.” “Huh? Oh yeah sorry, Joe was distracting me.” “Is he the one you like?” She always knew I liked one of them but I never did tell her which one. I blushed, “I… uhm… We’ll talk about that later.” “Let me guess… they’re all standing right next to you?” she laughed. I nodded… then I realized she couldn’t see that. “Yeah I’ll tell you which one later. It can’t be discussed right now.” “Are you keeping secrets from me?” Joe asked in mock horror. “Other than that awesome ringtone?” Nick pointed out. More blushing. I smacked him in the arm. “No need to resort to violence.” Joe smirked. “I’ll call you back later okay Rach?” “Okay fine… but you HAVE to tell me which one soon mkay?” “Definitely…” I hung up the phone and the guys were staring at me. “What?” I asked innocently. “What can’t be discussed right now?” Nick asked using air quotes. “Nothing.” I lied “I don’t buy it.” Nick prodded, “Tell us.” Crap crap crap! How come he can always tell when I’m lying. “I… uh… well… ya see…” I stalled. Ugh! Why did I have to be such a bad liar?
