Chapter 9:



We walked out the front door and sat on the steps in front of their house.
We watched a couple cars that drove by, but for the most part no one was out of their houses yet, everyone was still sleeping.
When we finished our food we sat the bowls behind us and talked.
“Do you remember when we used to have snowball fights?”
He smiled “Of course! Do you remember when we used to do karaoke every Monday?”
I laughed. “How could I forget? That was always SO much fun!”

We went through about 50 more ‘do you remembers’ in the next hour and a half.
I couldn’t believe I forgot about the lemonade stand.

                                              *flashback*

Nick and I had both really wanted a goldfish.
We thought we’d sell some lemonade and save enough money to buy one.
We never did understand why we didn’t make enough money.
We had put a small table out front of our houses and had a little sign that said "Lemonade for sale." taped to the front of it.
It should’ve worked perfectly, It would've worked perfectly, except for one minor detail...
We would always get bored and end up drinking all the lemonade before we got our first customer.

                                          *end flashback*

I laughed at the memory, we were so young… so naïve.
We talked a little bit longer and then decided to go back inside.


The day went by fast.
I did my best to help everyone pack for the tour.
(I think I was just slowing them down though)
I was SO excited for tomorrow morning!
I couldn’t wait till Rachel flew in and was finally here!
Although I was slightly frightened by the idea of ‘Date Clothes’
Even if I didn’t have what she was thinking of it wouldn’t matter.
She and I were the same size, so I wasn’t going to get out of this one.

I brought my blanket to the living room so I could hide behind it if we watched another scary movie.
I started thinking about HIM again.
I really needed to learn to control my thoughts,
get him off my mind every once in a while.
I was doing my best not to think about him.
I was straining to keep my mind blank.
“Something bothering you?” Kevin asked as I sat on the couch.
“No not really…”
Thankfully the answer seemed to satisfy his curiousity.
Joe put the movie in and he and Nick sat next to me (as usual)

I was right, it was a scary movie.
I managed to watch the whole thing without jumping once.
It was quite an accomplishment…
At least that’s what they thought.
I didn’t mention that I’d seen all the jaws movies a million times.
I actually liked them, because the shark would always get killed in the end.
 
Joe had to go finish packing.
Tomorrow was the last night before the tour started.
Kevin went to sleep in his room.
Which left me and Nick.
The first two who woke up would be the last two to fall asleep.
I thought that was kind of funny.
We weren’t tired yet so I decided to go make some popcorn while Nick picked out another movie.
When the microwave beeped I poured the popcorn into a bowl and walked into the living room.
Nick had stretched out on the couch.
“So much for my spot.” I huffed.
He laughed and made a little bit of room for me.
“I’ll share.” He smiled.
I set the bowl on the table and slid onto the couch beside him.
I covered up with my blanket and laid my head on his chest.
He was surprisingly comfortable.
The movie was kind of slow, and I could feel myself falling asleep.
I didn’t really care though.
Nick would wake me up when the movie ended.


I was drifting in and out of sleep for a while.
Once I glanced around the room, and it looked like there was light coming in through the windows.
I thought I saw Kevin walk into the kitchen and pour a bowl of cereal.
He ignored me and Nick, so I didn’t bother moving.
I was barely conscious and I don’t think he knew I had woke up.
For all I knew this was a dream.
My eyelids felt heavy so I readjusted myself and fell back to sleep.

Uh watching MTV! What else would we be doing?

Aw! That was so cute! Nick and AW! It's tottaly Joe!
