Chapter Two
After school Nick, Joe and Kevin invited me and Cassie round to their house because their having a party at 6 O'clock. "Can I bring my friend with me?" I asked them. "Uh, sure." said Joe.
*Party Time*
My dad picked up my friend and Cassie on the way to Nick, Joe and Kevin's. We got out at their house."Have fun girls. Oh and Bethany? Don't kiss anybody." "I rolled my eyes but smiled because my dad doesn't really like the idea of me and boys. We knocked on the door and Joe answered. "Wow, you girls look amazing." Joe said smiling. "Come on in." We walked in and saw how big their house looked inside. It was like the TARDIS. Small on the outside, big on the inside. And to quote everyone that see's the inside of the TARDIS for the first time: It's bigger on the inside. Nick and Kevin came over and welcomed us with a hug. The music was loud but by the looks of everyone in the house the party was on. "This is my friend Megan." I said. "Hi Megan." Joe smiled. "Hey." Megan smiled back. A slow song came on and Joe asked Megan to dance and Kevin asked Cassie. "This place looks amazing." I said to Nick. "Thanks, I helped decorate." He replied. "Well, it's awesome." I smiled. "Is everyone in the school here?" I asked him. "Pretty much but Abigal, Sarah and Kelly." Answered Nick. "Who are Sarah and Kelly?" I thought he meant The Wannabe's but I wasn't sure."Sarah and Kelly are the two girls who follow Abigal around like two lost dogs." He said. "I thought so." I said. The music got louder so we couldn't hear each other talk. "Would you like to dance?" Nick asked me. "What? Sorry, I can't hear you." I yelled. "Would you like to dance?!" He repeated. "I'd love to." I smiled and he lead me on to the dancefloor with him. He put his hands around my waist and I felt my heart beating really fast. I felt like my heart was going to come out of my chest beating like in cartoons. Thankfully it didn't. But just as we started dancing everyone heard a loud SLAM! We all turned around and it was Abigal. "You weren't invited, Abigal." Kevin said trying to get her to leave. "Yeah, I know. But I have to talk to Nick." She said. "Uh, why?" Nick asked. "Oh, just come here." Abigal said and brought him outside. Since I had no dance partner I just decided to sit down but before I did a guy called Jake came up and asked me to dance. I said yes and we started dancing. We were talking loads and he was being really sweet to me saying that he thinks I'm pretty and stuff like that. Nick came in but I didn't even notice. The song changed to a fast one and Jake was spinning me and doing awesome dancing with me. I still didn't see Nick looking like he was going to cry watching me and Jake dance. Abigal walked up behind him. "I can get him away from her if you want me to." She smiled smugly. "I don't care who she dances with." Said Nick but of course he cared. "I don't care about Bethany. I don't care about anything she does. I don't care who she dances with. I don't care about her in any way, shape or form." He walked upstairs to his room. Sarah and Kelly walked over to Abigal. "Did you get that girls?" "Yeah." Said Sarah and Kelly together. "Good. I'm glad." Abigal smiled smugly yet again. "Give me your phone, Kelly." Kelly handed Abigal her phone with the video of Nick saying that about me. She hooked the phone up to the plasma screen TV and said "Excuse me everyone!" Nick came downstairs. The music kept on playing. "EXCUSE ME!!" screamed Abigal. The music stopped and everyone started dancing. They all turned to face Abigal and the big TV. "I have a little video I want you all to take a look at." She pressed play and the video of Nick saying I don't care about Bethany. I don't care about anything she does. I don't care who she dances with. I don't care about her in any way, shape or form. As I watched the video tears started running down my face then I just couldn't take it as the video was on repeat. Over and over and over again it played. I ran out of the front door crying. I sat down on the swing and cried. Everybody inside didn't know what to do. Nick ran up to Abigal and yelled "I didn't mean that! You tricked me! Get out of my house, Abigail! Get out!" Abigal walked out with Sarah and Kelly smugly. Nick grabbed the phone and disconnected it. Outside I was freezing but I didn't care right then. Jake came out and sat down on the swing next to me. "Bethany, I'm sorry" He said. "You don't have to be sorry. You didn't say that you didn't care what I do or care about me at all!" I said through cries. "Come here." He said to me. "Sit on my lap." I sat down and he hugged me. "You're shivering. Here take my jacket." He took his jacket off and put it on me. "Thanks." I said starting to calm down a bit. "I'm sure Nick didn't mean those things." Jake said to me. I really like this girl but I should do the right thing. He thought to himself. "Nick just said inside that Abigal tricked him into saying those things." "How can you trick somebody into saying hurtful things about someone else?" I asked. "I don't know but don't worry about it, Okay? You have people that you can rely on." He said. "Like who?" I asked him. "Like me." He did a little smile then leaned in to kiss me....
