Chapter 03:
When Heather had finally arrived on the tour bus, she sat down on the plush couch and leaned her head against the window. She looked over just in time to see her sister grimace in her direction and turn back to Nick.
"So Nick," Taylor said loud enough for the whole bus to hear. "Maybe we could hang out after the concert tonight." She looked around, trying to get everyone's attention. Taylor had to make sure the whole world knew that she was going on a date with Nick Jonas.
Nick followed her eyes, which led to Heather. All she did was sit there, watching TV and trying to return the rude faces her sister had been giving her. "Uh, well..."
"Come on, Nicky. You know you want to." She winked at him and rubbed his arm, trying to convince Nick that she was the girl for him.
He pulled his arm away uncomfortably and looked at her sternly. "Sorry, but no. I hardly know you Taylor. Maybe some other time." Nick walked toward the back of the bus where the 'lounge' was and sat around disgusted.
"What's up Nick?" Kevin asked curiously. "Not getting along with your new tourees?"
"She's already hitting on me Kev. I just wanted to go on a tour without having to worry about girls and dating 24/7." Nick looked up at his brother with fear. "And she's a little forward about this; she doesn't just want to hang out as friends."
"Aw, sorry Nick. I would talk to her, but I don't want her to end up hating me for the rest of the tour." Kevin chuckled with his infamous laugh and continued on. "Just try to work things out. Tell her the truth." He walked to the front of the bus where everyone else was, leaving Nick with his thoughts.
Nick got up wearily and trudged behind his brother. Once he reached the front of the luxurious tour bus, he plopped down on the couch next to his new acquiantance, Heather. "Hey," he said trying to break the ice. No response. "Heather, right?"
She stared at him blankly and hesitantly replied. "Yeah. And you're...Nick?"
"Yes I am. So...are you excited for the show tonight?"
"Ecstatic," she answered in a very un-thrilled tone.
Nick eyed her suspiciously, waiting for a 'Just kidding, I really am excited'. How could she not be ecstatic? "Is this your first concert that you've ever been to?"
"Nope."
"Oh. What other concerts have you been to?" he asked.
"Why do you care?" Heather looked at him questioningly.
"Huh? I was just asking a question -"
Heather cut him off, "Well shouldn't you be over there with your new girlfriend Taylor? She just asked you on a date so I'm guessing you said yes, right?"
"Actually, you're wrong," he said matter-of-factly. "But I'm guessing that's new for you since you're so used to being right."
"Excuse me?"
"What? Can't handle a little taste of your own medicine?" He smirked, knowing he had won this battle.
"Actually, Nick, you're wrong. I'm never right. Ever. Occasionally, people will say I am, but then when I'm compared to Taylor...it's just like my opinion doesn't matter. Kind of like I don't matter." She looked up at him with small tears forming in her eyes. Did I really just open up to him?!
Nick was literally speechless. He was wrong about Heather. At first he guessed she was the snobby one, but now that she's told him all of this, he felt bad for assuming this. "Well Heather, it looks like you're right for once; I was wrong. Not you." He smiled and got up from the couch, walking towards his brothers. "Well, we can talk later then? At the show?"
"Sure," she said, wiping her damp eyes. Maybe this tour with curly won't be so bad.
GAAHH, so sorry!! i hope you like it =]
