I didn't understand it. Not as I layed there staring at the ceiling with tear filled eyes. I blinked rapidly not wanting to cry. But the tears silently spilt over. I didn't wipe them away. I just lay motionless except for the rise and fall of my chest as I took deep breaths, reliving the day.
It pained me to think of it. We'd broken up. Simple as that. But at the same time, so complex. It happened suddenly. I couldn't see why. Was it something I'd done? Or said? Why had it happened? He'd walked away. Plain and simple. But again, difficult to understand.
I turned to my side. Looking at the moon through my curtain. It reminded me of Joe. Everything did. I shut my eyes and he was there , I opened them and he was there. Clouding my mind. I shut my eyes, trying not to think of him. I was going to find out what had happened between us. It'd be hard. He was stubborn. I hint of a smile fell across my lips as I relived happy memories at that thought. I deserved to know. I had to know.

Not that amazing.
