Kelly’s POV I was in class and my eyes felt heavy, I knew I’d be asleep soon but I didn’t care. Why did I sign up for this class anyways? I hate English. My phone buzzed. Kevin was calling. I quickly snuck out of class, crawling across the floor and out the door, praying Dr. Ku wouldn’t notice I left. “Hello?” I said once I got into the hall. “Kelly hey! how are you?” I smiled, “I’m alright… how’s the tour?” “Awesome… and school…?” “Bearable… I’m just trying to survive till the summer.” He laughed, “I’m sure you’ll live. Did I call at a good time? I don’t want to interrupt you in class or anything… I didn’t did I?” I laughed, “Actually yes… but its just as well, if you hadn’t called I would’ve fell asleep. English is during lunch… which totally sucks. but the girls always sneak me something to eat during my next class.” “I miss seeing you.” he said quietly. My smile widened. The words sounded wonderful… He missed me. I wished he was here right next to me, I missed him like crazy. “I miss you too!” “When I get back to the states…” he paused. “Will you go out with me? On a date that is.” “Yes!” my answer was almost too quick. Way to hide your excitement Kelly. I scolded myself. “Really!” the excitement in his voice now matched mine. “Yeah… I really like you Kevin.” I blushed, suddenly thankful this was a phone call and we weren’t talking in person. I would be too embarrassed to say something so simple. “I really like you too Kelly.” My heart soared. He liked me too. I kind of knew that already but hearing him say it meant so much more. I heard people talking in the background. “Sorry Kelly I have to go” “Oh okay… call again soon k?” “Yeah sure.” He hung up I wonder when I’m gonna see him again? I let my thoughts wander for a minute, before I snuck back into class. Thank goodness Dr. Ku liked hearing himself talk so much or he would’ve noticed I was gone for sure. I crawled across the floor and stealthily got back in my desk. I breathed a sigh of relief. I made it back without being noticed… thank goodness.
