Chapter 1

*when they were little*

Rachel's POV

I woke up that morning and quickly got dressed. I wanted to go over and play at my best friends house. I ran down stairs and grabbed one peice of toast.

"Mommy can i go over to Jamie's house?" I asked before i walked to the door. "Did u make your bed and brush your teeth?" My mom asked as she turned around and looked at me. "UGH." I quickly turned around and ran upstairs.

Why does it matter if i make my bed. I'm gonna have to sleep in it again. I thought to myself. *Ding dong*...that was the door bell.

'I'll get it!" I yelled as i raced down stairs. I opened the door and there stood Kelly. "KELLY!" I yelled as i gave her a quick hug. Kelly and i were both the same age at the time. We were six. "Hurry up!" "Let me go brush my teeth!" I said as i ran back up stairs. I quickly brushed my teeth and ran back to down stairs to leave. But now i was out of breath.

"Mommy...now can i go?!" "Okay...be carefull crossing the street!" she yelled as i slamed the door shut.

Kelly and i both met Jamie at her front door. "It's about time!" She said as we got there. Jamie lived across the street from me and kelly lived next door to me. "Look at my new ball!" Jamie said as she pick it up.

"OH! Pretty!" Kelly and i both said at the same time. "I'm gonna kick it." Jami said with a toothy smile. "My mom says never to kick it in the street..." Kelly started to say. *Kicks ball in street and bounces off passing car* " SMOOTH..." I said i as i looked at her and smiled.

The car pulled in next to my house. Into the drive way. The one with the for sale sign in it. We looked at the people coming out of the car.

"Look a ball!" One cury haired boy said as he pick up Jamie's ball. " Momma this is what hit the car." The one boy with wavy hair said.

Then an other boy jumped out of the car and looked at his brothers. "It came from over there!" He said as he pointed to us. "Mom can we take it back to them." The one with Jamie's ball said. "Sure but be carefull crossing the street."

"HEY HE HAS ME BALL!" Jamie yelled as she pointed to the cury haired boy. They were running across the street. "BUSTED!" I said as i looked at Jamie. "SHH!" Jamie said as she put her finger over her mouth.

All three of the boys were running to Jamie's house. The one with the wavy hair looked down at his feet and smiled. "Look how fast i'm running...." Then he tripped over the sidewalk.

We all went running over to him. "Are you okay?" I asked as i helped him up. "Yeah he said as he stood up, I'm Joe." He said with a smile.

"Well, i'm Rachel...and Joe...Your bleeding." I said as i looked at his knee. Jamie ran inside and ran back out with a wet cloth and a band aid.

Here she said as she hnded it to him. "And i'm Jamie and this is Kelly." She said as she pinot at herself then at Kelly. "I'm Kevin and this is Nick." Kevin said as he put his hand on his chest then pointed at Nick.

"I can god get your mom." I said as i helped him off the ground. "NO! She puts stuff on that makes it sting!" Joe said as he dusted himself off.  "He'll be okay." Kevin said.

Kevin handed us our ball back. "Do you guys wanna play with us?" Jamie asked as she looked at Kevin with a smile. I think she liked him.

"I think Jamie likes Kevin." I whispered in Kelly ear." She giggled and smiled Then looked back and Nick then at me. "Do you like Nick?" I whispered in her ear. 'She noddled yes and i smiled and looked at Joe. She giggled and nodded yes. She knew i liked Joe.

"Yeah we'll play!" Kevin said as he ran into the yard. We where having an awesome time with our new friends.

ok...so it's kinda long...and it will get more interesting and i write more. So comment, and tell me what u think!

Chapter 2

*Years later*

Rachel's POV

It was my 13th birthday. i thought it would be the best day ever...but i was wrong...very very wrong...

*ding dong*

"GOT IT!" I yelled as i ran to the door. I opened it and got attact by Joe. "Nice to see you to." I said as i layed on the floor. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Joe, Kevin and Nick said at the same time. Joe stood up and helped me to my feet. He was 15 now, Nick was 13, and Kevin was 17.

Jamie and Kelly came running down stairs. "Happy Birthday to you..." Jamie and Klly started singing/yelling in my ear. "DON'T SING! You know hate that song!" Joe just started laughing. Kevin walked in and hugged me. "Happy Birthday." He said softly as he slipped a little box in my hand and walked over next to Jamie. They've like eahc other for a long time...but never have dated...

"I told you not to get me anything." I said as i looked at the box. "And you thought we woulod listen. PSH!" Joe said as he looked as me witha smile. I opened the box and there was ear rings with my birth stone on it. "Kevin!" I said with a big smile on my face. I gave him a hug. "Thank you."

Nick looked at me..."I didn't know what to get you..." He said in a soft voice. "You didn't have to get e ANYTHING...." "So i got you this." he said as he held out a teddy bear. "AW! THANK YOU!" I gave him a quick hug and turned around and looked at Joe. He just looked back at me and smiled. "I know you got me something." "Here." He said as he handed me an other lil box. "What is it?!" I asked with a smile. "Open it." I sighed and opened the present. it was a locket...i opened it and there was a picture of me and Joe in it. "Joe..." I said with tears in my eyes "...It's beautiful!" I said as i pulled it out of the box.

Joe grabbed the locket and told me to turn around. I turned around and he put the locket around my neck. I turn around when he was finished and gave him a hug. His warm hands on my back and his wonderfull smell of colonge.

"MOVIE TIME!" Jamie busted out. I looked at Joe. "Thank you." He softly kissed my cheek. We all sat down on the couch as Jamie popped in the movie. She ploped down next to Kevin on what we all liked to call the love couch. I was sitting next to Joe and Nick was sitting next to Kelly. "What are we watching?"I asked to brake the silents. "UH..",Jamie started to say, "...Joe picked it out!"

"You ratted me out!" Joe said. Kevin leaned over to Jamie and put his arm around her and she cuddled next to him. Jamie quickly grabbed a pillow and through one to me and Kelly..then she kelt one in her lap. When she through us pillows..it ment a scary move. The pillow was to hide our face when a freaky part came. "YOU KNOW I HATE SCARY MOVIES!" I said as i looked at Joe. "Oh i know...but i love them!" Joe said with a smile.

"We're watching 'Prom Night'." Kelly piped in. "WHAT?! NO! NO NO NO! " I said as i started to stand up. But Joe grabbed my shirt and looked at me with his big brown eyes. "Please?!" He asked in a sad voice. "Fine." i said as i ploped down and pulled my legs to my chest. I felt an arm go around me i looked over at Joe and He smile. I leaned over closer to him as the movie started.

*After the movie*

"You're so dead, Joseph Adam Jonas." I said as i chased him around the couch. "HEY YOU WATCHED IT!" He said as he kept running. I suddenly tripped and hit the floor.

"OUCH!" Joe ran over to me and helped me up and pulled me into his arms."I'm still mad at you." I said as i tried to push him away But he was to strong. He looked at me with that 'Give me a hug and i'll let you go' look. I quickly hugged him and i sat on the couched holding my head.

*Ring ring ring* Nick's phone went off.

As Nick was talking on the phone, Joe came up and looked at my head. "You're gonna have a bump there." He said with a smile. I shoke my head and i could help but smile at him.

"Okay...be there in a minute." *click* Nick turned around and looked at Kevin and Joe. "Guys mom wants us home so we can finish packing...oh..crap..." Nick stopped. "Finish packing?!" I asked as i looked at Joe. "Nick!" Joe said as he turned around.

"It slipped out!" Nick said. "What's going on?!" I asked as i stood up and looked at Joe. "Tell me!" I said in a much harder tone.

"We were gonna tell you guys tomorrow." Kevin said softly. "Tell us what?!" Jamie asked as she looked at Kevin.

"We're leaving." Joe said as he looked at his feet. "What?! Where?! WHEN?!" I asked with tears in my eyes. "We're leaving to go on tour. We got a record deal...and we're going to hollywood...." Joe said.

Tears started falling down my face. "When?!" Jamie asked as tears formed in her eyes. "Thursday." Kevin said holding back some tears.

"THURSDAY?! But today it tuesday! Did u plan on telling us u left?!" I asked in a harsh tone.

"We didn't wanna tell you on your birthday." Joe said as a tear fell down his face but he wipped it away quickly.

"Today was suppost to be the best...but it turned into the worst." I said as more tears fell. I truned to run out of the room but Joe grabbed my waist. I pushed him away quickly and he lost grip. "Rach?!" Joe said as he chased after me. "LEAVE!" I yelled as i ran to my room.

ok...this chapter is a little sad...but tell me what u think...if u like of hate. leave some comments...ok this chapter os very long..but i hope u like it!

Chapter 3

Joe's POV

Kevin called mom back and asked if we could stay a little long...just to spend as much time as possable with them. Mom said we could stay as much longer as we liked. But when we got home we had to finish packing.

Jamie and Kevin were back on the couch talking again. At least she would talk to him. I could even talk to Rachel. Nick and Kelly were on the other couch talking. They looked like they were have a nice talk.

"I'm gonna go see if i can get Rachel to talk to me." I said as i walked up stairs.

Rachel's POV

I was laying on my bed crying when i slowly driffed off to sleep. It felt like only minutes later i felt someone sit next to me. I rolled over, it was Joe. I quickly rolled back over having my back to him.

"Rach, please talk to me." He begged. I felt more tears come down my face. Why did my best friend have to leave. I know it's his dream to become someone big. But did he really have to leave his greatest friends behide. And i would miss him to much. It wouldn't be the same with out him. More tears came down my face a some hair covered the side of my face to hide it.

I felt his hand come across my face and move my hair. "EW...either those are tears or your sweating really badly." He said with a laugh.

I smiled and the tears stopped. "Hey i saw that smile." I started to giggle some so i put my face down in my pillow to hide my laughter. I suddenly felt to hands come on my waist and start tickling me.

I started laughing more as he tickled me even more. I rolled over facing him. He started laughing. "There's that beautiful smile i wanted to see." Joe said as he move an other peice of hair out of the face.

My face was still wet from the tears and Joe wipped them away. He looked at me. "Don't look at me like that." I said with a laugh. "Hey she speaks!" We both started laughing even more. I shifted over and let Joe lay on the bed with me. He put hit arm around and i laid my head on his chest. My pain was starting to go away.

Jamie's POV

Kevin and i were sitting on the couch talking about old times. We talked about the time we first met, and Joe tripped over the side walk.

"SH! Quiet!" Kelly said in a hushed tone. We got really quiet and started listening. We heard Rachel and Joe start laughing together.

"There talking." I said with a smile. "How did he get her to talk?" Kevin asked. Nick lifted his shoulders. "I don't know."

Kelly and looked at each other then smile. "He tickled her." We both said at the same time. We all sat there for an hour. Every now and then we heard Rachel and Joe laugh. But then it got really quiet.

"What do you think's going on up there?" Kevin asked Jamie. "I don't know. But it's really quiet." "Let's go see why there so quiet." Kelly said as she jumped up and pulled Nick to his feet.

Kevin looked at me then jumped up. "Come one."

Joe's POV

Rachel started taking to me again an we were having a good time talking about anything and everything. Then Rachel got really quiet and fell asleep. I softly kissed her forhead and i slowly drifted off to sleep.

Kevin's POV

We all were walking up stairs to see what they were to quiet about. I poked my head and i saw Rachel and Joe asleep. Rachel fell asleep on his chest and he fell alseep leaning his head in the top of hers.

"Look." I said as i ponited into the room. Jamie giggled and  pulled out her camera. Before i took the picture i let Nick and Kelly look in. Kelly just said "AW." and Nick smiled. I thought about taking the picture but i didn't wanna wake them up. Kevin said Joe was a light sleeper. I quickly took the picture and hide behide the wall.

Joe's POV

I was asleep with i thought a light flashed...but it must have been my imagination. I looked down and saw Rachel was still asleep and she looked a little cold. i pulled some covers over her and i went back to sleep.
