Intro:

I knew the Jonas brothers long before they were 'The Jonas Brothers'
i knew them as Kevin, Joe and Nick, my neighbors/best friends.
It was a very sad day when they moved to California.
We kept in touch.. mainly 2 minute phone calls here and there.
Time passed by so slowly when they were gone.

It had been two years now...
I looked forward to one day in particular,
my 18th birthday... it was the day I got to fly out to visit them...
That day was today.
i spent the last few days packing everything i could sqeeze into my suitcases.
My mom drove me to the airport.
She smiled. "I can't believe your 18 years old."
To her the time flew by.. like just yesterday i was learning to walk.
But to me it took forever.
I couldn't wait for this day, to be away from my family, off on my own, it was exhilerating.
We pulled up to the airport.
"Are you sure you know which gate to go to?" my mom asked.
"Yes i'm sure..." i said as i grabbed my bags.
"I could go with you.. help you find the gate..."
"Goodbye mom!" i said as i hurried into the airport.
i thought by now she'd treat me like an adult.
No such luck.


I checked two suitcases and had a small carryon with me.
as soon as i was on the plane and it left the ground i breathed a sigh of relief.
my earlier frustration with my mom was gone, i was FREE! (for two weeks that is)
It was pathetically, the longest amount of time i'd been away from my parents.
I couldn't wait to land and see my best friends... i missed them SO much!
I'd seen them on TV and in interviews, but that just wasn't the same as in person.
I plugged my headphones into my ipod, hoping the music would distract me,
maybe keep me from bouncing off the walls, or at least calm my nerves.
It only made me more anxious. I slipped my ipod into my purse.
"Hi i'm Carissa." the girl sitting next to me said.
"I'm Jamie." i smiled.
We talked for a little while and she seemed really cool,
she was a little bit older than me, just graduated high school (like me)
but she didn't seem as stressed out about colleges as my other friends.
we decided to watch the plane's featured movie.
Camp Rock was playing.
i couldn't help but laugh.
"it figures."
Carissa giggled happily. "I love this movie! and OMG those Jonas boys are SO hott!!!!"
"Ya think?" i cocked my head to the side as i watched the Limo Scene.
She smiled. "YEAH! i mean just look at them... totally droolworthy."
i laughed. "Yeah they are pretty cute."
especially him, i sighed.
Growing up they were my best friends. (after they got over their fear of cooties that is)
i giggled they had definittely grown up since then. I wonder if their personalities had changed much.
Was Joe still as clutzy as he used to be?
I laughed when he fell into the bushes in the movie.
I guess so, i smirked.
Both Carissa and i screamed with delight when Mitchie and Shane sang together.
talking (and screaming) with her was the most fun i've had in a while.
I missed the craziness of being a teenage girl.

The plane landed and it felt like she and i were already close friends.
we exchanged phone numbers and myspaces and i KNEW we'd be talking again soon.
I was finally here, in the B-E-A-Utiful california!
and i was just seconds away from seeing my best friends.
"Have fun with your friends." Carissa said as we got off the plane.
"Thanks..." i smiled as she walked away.
"Here i go." i whispered to myself as i walked down the hall. This is it.

OMG, this is fantastic Jamie! I think this is actually the first fanfiction I've read on here, haha =]

Gah, what's going to happen when she sees them again? Huh? HUH?! *screams* Whoo, a little hyper hahah =D Post soon!
