Chapter 1:
I was SO nervous as I walked down the hall.
I found the escalators quickly.
As I made my way down I caught a glimpse of curly hair from beneath a hat.
Nick. I smiled.
He hadn’t noticed me yet, so I snuck up behind him.
“BOO!”
“AHHHHH” He jumped.
I laughed, “Hey Nick how are you?”
“I’m good, Happy birthday!” he smiled.
Wow the movie didn’t do his smile justice.
I could see Joe and Kevin at the airport Starbucks.
They hadn’t noticed me yet.
“How’ve you been?” He continued.
“I’ve been bored… finally done with High school, terrified of College, you know the usual.” I laughed
“I can’t believe how long it’s been.” He said pulling me into a hug.
I breathed him in. He had the most amazing scent.
Kevin and Joe walked over and greeted me with smiles, hugs and Happy Birthday’s.
“We missed you SO much!” Joe said smiling.
WOW the movie didn’t do him justice either.
“I missed you guys too…! So where’s Frankie…? You know he’s my favorite.” I winked.
“He’s at home with mom and dad.” Kevin explained.
“Aw… better get home soon then…” I paused, “Do you think he’ll even remember me?”
“How could he forget? OF COURSE he’ll remember you!” Joe replied enthusiastically.
“Wow your still as hyper as ever.” I laughed.
“Yeah well you know… that’s just me.” He smirked.
“I don’t know why that surprised me.” I giggled.
“So This CAN’T be all you brought.” Kevin said noticing I only had one small bag.
“Nope.” I laughed.
The walk to baggage claim was short, but we managed to catch up on a lot of the last two years.
“HOLY CROW! You guys toured in EUROPE...? Oh My Gosh! That’s so cool!!!” I gushed.
They all laughed and I felt my cheeks grow hot.
“Sorry I’m just not used to you guys being so… famous.” I laughed, grabbing my two suitcases as they passed by.
They seemed heavier than I remembered.
Honestly I didn’t think I could carry them myself.
I must’ve had such an adrenaline rush that I didn’t notice how heavy they were before.
“Let me help you with that.” Joe smiled, taking one of my suitcases.
I happily welcomed the help. (I seriously needed it)
“I’ll take this one.” Nick said, taking my other suitcase.
“You guys don’t have to…”
“Yes we do!” Kevin said, as he took my carryon bag.
All I had left was my purse, I didn’t think they’d take it, but I clutched it tightly, just in case.
I had to carry something or I would feel useless.
We walked out the door and they moved towards a limo.
My mouth dropped, “You didn’t.”
“Your right… we didn’t.” Joe said walking toward a bus.
I tried to hide my disappointment. “Oh okay.” I turned to follow him.
Nick put his hand on my shoulder. “Turn around, he’s just kidding.” He smiled.
“Oh.” I laughed as I climbed into the limo.
I sat down next to Kevin.
Joe and Nick sat across from us.
I did my best not to stare, at HIM, but I was finding it difficult.
He was sitting straight across from me.
I giggled quietly as we drove to their house.
