"I think that we need to rehearse more." Nick said. Joe shook his head. "I think we should sing 'Inseperable' instead of 'Hold On'." Kevin plomped into one of the bean bags placed in the dressing room. "I think we should just relax and think." Kevin said, sighing. You see, tonight would be one of their big concerts. They would be performing live with a major rockstar, and they don't even know his or her name! Well, not really a rockstar, but just getting a backup singer. Someone new. "Hey, guys, why are you so worried?" Frankie said, finishing off his videogame. "That girl was alright. She knew most of your lyrics."
"A girl?" Joe said. "We can't be the Jonas Brothers anymore. We'll be the... Jonas plus Girl!!" Joe bit his nails. Nick paced around the room, guitar in one hand. "Whoever this girl is, she can't be that bad." he said. "She knows our lyrics, and she seems to be in tune based on what Frankie said. She might be alright."
And then someone knocked on the door. "Uhh.. is this the Jonas Brother dressing room?" a girl said. "Hey, fangirl, we don't allow access here." Kevin said. The girl behind the door sounded annoyed. "Way to make a first impression, Kev." she said. "I'm the new backup singer."
"OH!" Nick said, and ran for the door. He twisted the doorknob to find a girl about the same height as him, who was wearing a black tee shirt, a blue skirt over some leggings, and ballet flats. "I'm Julia, nice to meet you." she said, holding out her hand for Nick to shake. "H.. hi.." Nick said, shaking her hand. Julia made her way to the bean bag beside Kevin and sat down.
"Might I ask, how old are you?" Kevin said.
"...Eleven."
"ELEVEN??!!" Nick said.
"She just beat you, Nick." Joe said. Frankie shook his head. "She can't beat me. I'm 7."
"Stage, 5 minutes." said their manager who was peeping inside. "Here goes everything." Nick said. Joe, Kevin and Julia stood from their bean bags and followed Nick onstage. Nick walked over to the microphone in the center of the stage, and Julia made her way to the one beside it. "Tonight we have a new addition to our tour, Julia." Nick said. Julia did a curtsey. "She'll be doing some backup. And right now," Nick said, cuing the drummer. "we're Inseperable!" he said. Everyone started jamming. Nick, Julia and Joe harmonioulsy singing, Nick and Kevin greatly plucking their strings, and the drummer and everyone else happily following along. The crowd was jumping.
Later...
"What a night, huh?" Kevin said. Julia nodded and agreed, as did everyone else. Julia and Nick were sharing a bean bag since there were only three, and Joe and Kevin in two seperate ones. Frankie was sitting on a stool, playing his game on the Playstation attatched to the TV. "Everyone seemed to love you, Julia." Nick said.
"Are you sure they weren't crying because they thought she was yours, Nick?" Joe snickered, and so did Kevin. "Hey guys, they didn't think that. She's 'brand new' to us as it is." Nick said. Julia blushed a bit.
"Excuse me, coming through." a reporter said. Her name was Gina Simmons. Gina was a fun blonde who's known to get the scoop. She knocked on the Jonas Brothers' dressing room door, which Julia opened. "Ah, Julia. You four get out." the reporter said to the Brothers. "But--"
"OUT!!!"
They all left except Julia. Julia sat in a bean bag and Gina sat on a stool. She crossed her legs and brought out a tape recorder and a note pad. She pressed the 'record' button and started asking questions. "Julia, you're new to this. Do you have experience?"
"I've starred in one of my school plays, but I didn't sing in it, so I guess I could act if needed." Julia said, nervous. It was her first interview after all. Gina wrote that down. "What is your favorite Jonas Brother song?"
"It would have to be... Just Friends. It actually relates to me. I once had a crush on this guy at school, but he's gone now."
"So, who's your favorite Jonas Brother, and why?" Gina asked.
"Nick. He's the cute, sensitive one, and I think he has a lot of heart."
Gina nodded in excitement. "So, final question; if you were to date one of them or if you think you'll end up having a little romance goin' on, who would it be with?"
Julia thought deeply. She didn't know that the Jonas Brothers and Frankie were listening in. Julia took a deep breath. "Nick. Because... of everything."
Gina nodded. "That's all." She stood up from the stool, got her things and thanked Julia. She walked out of the door. Kevin, Joe, Frankie and Nick just stood beside the door. "Dude, did you hear that?" Kevin asked Nick. Nick nodded. Joe and everyone else walked in. There was a silence. "AWKWARD." Joe said. Nick sat in a different bean bag and Joe shared the one Julia was in with.. well, Julia. Joe wrapped his hand around Julia. "What about me?" he said.

Julia stood up from her bean bag. "Did you guys hear what happened?"
"No." Joe, Nick and Kevin said. "Oh yeah." Frankie said. Everyone looked at him. "What?" he said. The Brothers shook their heads and Nick just looked nervous. Julia looked furious. "Look, I'm only 11, ok? It's just... a celebrity crush." she said. Nick nodded, and so did everyone else. "You have to admit, you obviously like him." Frankie said. Everyone looked at him again. "What?"
"Let's just act like nothing happened." Kevin said, and everyone relaxed. Julia plopped back into her bean bag with Joe, and Nick and Kevin were looking at Frankie's game. Julia was resting her head on Joe's shoulder. "Really, why not me?" Joe said. Julia looked at him. "I don't know." was her answer. "...Good enough." Joe said. Julia and Joe watched Frankie's game from their position. Julia soon fell asleep, and so did Joe, leaving the three alone to talk. "Hey, they look cute." Kevin said, looking at Julia and Joe. "Yeah, but, she just said a few minutes ago that she liked me because of everything." Nick said.
"You like her too, don't you?" Frankie said. Nick's eyes widened. "No way!" he said. He stood up and paced the room again. "If I did, it would be completely awkward. We'll always be in front center stage, and that reporter could.. could.. well, get suspicious." he said. Kevin looked at him and grinned. "You DO like her."
"No, it's not like that!" Nick said, messing his hair up. "Augh!" he said. "I don't, for the last time!"
"Are you sure?" Frankie said. "I mean, she is pretty cute." Kevin nodded along. "It's true." he said, turning his attention to Frankie's videogame. "Oh, use the Aktan move."
"I'm trying!" Frankie said, simultaneously pressing buttons here and there. Nick kept pacing, and went outside to walk. He walked down a few halls here and there and walked onto the stage. The seats were empty. No one was there. They were just waiting for the limo to take them home. He sat on the stage and stared out to the millions of seats in front of him. He sighed, and thought that if he liked her, there would be problems. She's only eleven, as in, really young. So was he, but have you ever heard of a 14-year-old and an 11-year-old in a relationship?
But.. Nick liked her. And yet.. still a bit impossible. Suddenly, he heard footsteps. He stood up and looked around. It was Julia. Nick sat back down and Julia sat beside him. "This place is huge." she said, and looked at Nick. Nick just stared at the vicinity, avoiding Julia. "You did great tonight." Nick said. Julia blushed. "Thanks..." she said. She took off her glasses and wiped them with a cloth she pulled out of a pocket in her skirt and put them back on. "What we heard... was..."
"It's ok, Nick. I didn't know you were there, it's my fault I let something slip." Julia said, smiling. Nick was now looking at her. They looked at each others eyes. Then they heard footsteps, and a playing guitar, followed by someone singing 'When You Look Me In The Eyes'. Julia and Nick looked around to see Joe singing and Kevin strumming. Julia and Nick laughed. Nick stood up and held out his hand. Julia grabbed Nick's hand and stood up. She dusted her skirt and they walked toward Kevin and Joe. Julia jokingly punched Joe's arm and Nick gave Kevin a high five. "Car's here." Joe said.
They all nodded. "Oh wait, my bag!" Julia said. She ran to a dressing room and took it out. She ran toward the Brothers and Frankie, making their way to the car.
The ride was pretty smooth. Julia was beside Nick, and across them were Joe, Kevin and Frankie. "Why are we the only ones in this seat?" Julia said. Nick shrugged. The three boys across them winked at each other. Julia soon got sleepy. She slept on Nick's shoulder. Nick looked at Joe, Kevin and Frankie. "You planned this." he whispered. They shrugged. Nick put his arm around Julia and looked out the window. "Julia's gonna stay in the Guest Room at our house." Joe said. Nick's eyes widened. "We'll see her everyday?" he whispered. The three boys nodded and laughed silently. Nick sighed and looked at the girl resting on his shoulder.
"You win some you lose some." Nick said.

Nick 16..oh what, you said 14 in the chapter, okay, I'll take a few years off for the boy, okay anyways 11 to 14 it a HUGE change. Seriously kids under the age of 14 are immatre..oh wait. In boy years, a girl being 11 and a guy being 14 doesn't mean anything. Guys don't mautre, however it is Nicholas...

Finally at the Jonas' house, Nick woke Julia up. Julia raised her head from Nick's shoulder, realizing who she had leaned on. "Sorry about that." she said, yawning. She grabbed her bag and got off. Joe, Kevin, Nick and Frankie waited for her to go inside and then Nick spoke up. "When did you know she'd stay? HOW DID YOU KNOW IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?" Nick said angrily. Joe, Kevin and Frankie just laughed. "She asked us." Frankie said. "She wanted to feel like a Jonas." Joe added. "Did I mention she decorated the guest room with posters of you?" Kevin joked. The three boys laughed and Nick grunted. "I can't believe you allowed it." he said, and got off. The three boys shrugged and exchanged looks and went outside, into their house.
Later, around 12pm, Nick was still awake, practicing 'Hello Beautiful' in his room. Julia, who was wearing an oversized T-shirt, so it acted like a dress, and shorts, walked in and sat beside Nick, who was sitting on his bed. "Great song, I really love it." she said. Nick ignored, and kept playing. "Can... can you sing 'Just Friends' for me?" Julia said. Nick stopped, and looked at Julia. Then he looked back at his guitar, and started strumming.
"There she goes again,
The girl I'm in love with,
It's cool we're just friends.
We walk the halls at school,
We know it's casual,
It's cool we're just...
I don't wanna lead you on, no,
But the truth is I've grown fond, yeah,

"I see." Joe said, smiling. He and Kevin were at the doorway, and Frankie caught up. They saw Nick, guitar in hand, and Julia, singing on Nick's bed. "It's not like that." Nick said. Julia nodded. "I requested he sing it."
Kevin shook his head. "Denial." he, Frankie, and Joe said. Julia stood up. "I need to get some shut eye anyway." she said. "Thanks guys, and good night. Except you, Kevin. And Joe. And Frankie." She walked into her room and lay her head on her pillow.
Kevin, Joe and Frankie ran and sat on Nick's bed. "You got her!" Joe said. Nick shook his head furiously. "NO NO NO!" he said. "Cut it out, guys, she's new!"
"Ah, brand new, like that custom strap that'll be better than this one here, and will be the result of me breaking this one, because of your DENIAL!" Joe said. Kevin, Nick and Frankie looked at him. "Where do you come up with these things?" Nick said. Joe shrugged. "Anyway, off topic. Nick, you have her!" Kevin said. Joe walked across the room to Nick's mirror. "Yeah, I can imagine me and Kevin singing 'When You Look Me In The Eyes' at the wedding." Joe said, who began singing in front of the mirror. Kevin rolled his eyes. Nick shooed everyone out of the room. "Out, guys, I need to sleep." he said. "Touchy." Frankie said. He followed his other brothers out of the room. Frankie walked back in. "Hey, we share this room." Nick nodded.
Nick placed his guitar on its stand and laid his head on his pillow. "It's not true." Nick said under his breath.
The following morning, Nick, Joe, Kevin and Frankie went downstairs. "Mornin' mom!" they all said in unison. Their mother greeted them, and handed them breakfast. Julia followed shortly. "Good morning, Mrs. Jonas." she said, smiling. She took a seat and got some breakfast. Nick, Joe, Kevin and Frankie all stared at her. "What?" she said. "Nothing." they all said together. Nick did his best to avoid eye contact. "So... Nick? What's the first song tonight?" she asked. Nick didn't say anything. "Joe? Kevin? Frankie?"
No response. "Boys, be kind to our guest." their mother said. "J... Just Friends..." Nick said. Julia smiled. "Best song ever!" she said. No one looked up from their plate or looked at her. Julia closed her eyes and them opened them. She finished her breakfast quickly, put her plate in the sink, stood up. "Thank you, Mrs. Jonas." Julia said, pushing her chair in. She walked back upstairs. Mrs. Jonas looked at the boys. "Boys, be nice to her. She's new."
Nick looked at the three brothers in an 'I told you so' way. "Sorry." the four of them said.
