Check back in for more of "Chasing Pavements", my Demi Lovato fanfic. Feel free to leave comments in the comment box. I'd like to know if I should continue this fanfic or not. Do not steal my fanfics.
*Note: I'm also part of the Jonas Brothers Fan so they might come up in a few parts, but mostly it's Demi, maybe even Selena Gomez (I’m part of Selena Gomez Central too). Never know with me.
♫♪ Chapter One; It's A Call I'll Never Get
August 8

-Demi Lovato
I finished typing my blog of the week and signed off my account. I had just started to shut down my Apple laptop when my cell phone rang. I was surprised, not many people called me at ten o’ clock in the morning; so I picked up the phone. “Hello?” I asked the person on the other end of the line. “Hey! Oh my gosh I can’t wait for Saturday night, we’re going to rock the red carpet!” the other voice exclaimed. I blinked, confused for a moment. “Selena?” I asked, not sure if it was her or not. “No, the queen of Germany.” She replied jokingly. “Germany doesn’t have a queen I don’t think.” I laughed. “Yeah nether do I.” Selena answered “So what were you saying about Saturday?” I asked, not remembering a plan for that day at all. “The premier of that new movie coming out, Death Race. Remember? Well anyways, we get to go to the premier!” she shouted again, laughing a little to. My jaw dropped. Saturday was only two days away and I didn’t even have an outfit bought or picked out. “You still there? Demi?” Selena asked since I had stopped talking for the moment. “Yeah. Yeah I’m still here.” I replied, breaking the silence between us, “Since when did this happen?” “Since, like, a few weeks ago.” She answered, sounding totally fine about the event happening in two days. That’s when I remembered. Two weeks ago Selena had come over my house and told me about the premier, but I had shrugged it off, saying it was two weeks away, why worry about it now? I sighed. Next time I’m getting my shopping out of the way before I forget about the whole event.
“Are you up for a shopping trip?” I asked Selena, knowing she would say yes. “Anytime, anywhere!” she replied, and I could tell she was smiling. I laughed, “How did I guess you would say yes?” “That just rhymed!” Selena exclaimed and repeated my sentence over and over again, “How did I guess you would say yes? How did I guess you would say yes? How did-” “Selena, can we go shopping now? Or would you like to stay at home and write rhymes all day?” I asked. “To the mall!” she said, “I’ll be over in a few minutes. Be ready!” she said, then hung up the phone. I set my phone down too, thinking of what I should buy for the premier. I sighed, hoping I’d find something.
I got off my bed and walked over to my closet, deciding I should get into a new change of clothes. I looked through my mess of what I called a closet until I found what I was looking for; my short sleeve red shirt, white three-quarter sleeve v-neck, skinny blue jeans, and my blue scarf. I threw on the red shirt, and then the v-neck, pulled on my jeans, and draped my scarf around my neck. Now I was ready to go.
♫♪ Chapter Two; The Missing Piece I Need
Going to the mall was easy, but getting to where we wanted to go? Not so much. The walkways for the mall were crowded with people and their tens of thousands of shopping bags. "How can people buy so much stuff at one time?" Selena asked me, looking around at the people as they made their way through the crowd. I shrugged, smiling a little. "You got me," I replied, walking into one of the dress stores. "Hi girls, how can I help you today?" the store clerk asked, flashing her pearly white teeth. I simply smiled back, replying, "I'm just looking right now, thank you." Selena and I then started our dress search.
There were racks and racks of dress, Selena almost got lost in one of them! "Gosh," Selena sputtered, clambering over to me, "So many choices!" I laughed, "Yeah, I kinda noticed." She was right, there were so many to look at! How were we going to find dresses at this point? "Whoa!" Selena gasped, rushing over to a rack that had been pushed to the back, "Check these out!" she called to me. I hurried over, gasping as well when I saw the dresses; they were perfect!
Both of the dresses were black and ended just above the knee, but they were different in some ways as well. One had straps and was plain, but sleek, and the other was strapless and had a red ribbon with a bow on it. "Oh my gosh, Sel! These are what we were looking for," I exclaimed, grabbing the dress with the red ribbon; Selena grabbed the other dress. "Amazing?" Selena grinned at me. "Oh yeah!" I replied, smiling wide.
We both hurried to the cashregister, still grinning wide. The store clerk smiled back and said, "I'm guessing you found what you wer looking for?" "You have no idea!" Selena laughed as we set our dresses on the counter. Once our dresses were checked out we walked out of the store with our dress shopping releved; now we could hang-out and shop for fun! "How about we grab an ice cream and go do some personal shopping?" Selena suggested, pushing her hair back into a pony-tail with a hair rubberband. "Sounds like a plan man," I laughed, nodding.
So that was it. We found our dresses so now we could relax and goof off. "To Diary Queen! Where all diary is treated like a queen!" Selena joked, smiling. I laughed, "We can be diary queens once we eat too!" Together we made our way to DQ, laughing and having a time of our lives.
